The Month of May
The month of May begins with Venus entering Aries on Wednesday, the last day of April, and forming a conjunction to Neptune on Friday, the 2nd of May. Love and beauty are intoxicating but it can also be beguiling and confusing. Love is selfless and sacrificial. Art and beauty are mesmerising.
Pluto turns retrograde at 3º Aquarius on Sunday the 4th of May, and so some of the high voltage situations that have been developing in the past few weeks could reach a turning point now. Negotiations and power strugles are likely to come up on the global scenario.
The Second Week of May
Mercury forms a sextile to Jupiter on Monday the 5th. This can be good news, considering the waxing Moon applying to a trine to the Sun. There’s a sound and proportionate evaluation of circumstances. Educational, cultural and literary gatherings. Truthful words are spoken and traveling is easy.
Venus forms a sextile to Pluto on Tuesday making social and romantic interaction deep and intense, but perhaps somewhat prone to expressions of jealousy. The waxing Moon in Libra forms a trine to Jupiter in Gemini on Saturday, the day when Mercury enters Taurus. A good time for social gatherings.
The Third Week of May
On Sunday, the 11th of May, the week starts with a Full Moon at 22º Scorpio while Mercury and Pluto are in square aspect. Views and opinions are expressed with great forcefulness. There’s intellectual or verbal domination, propaganda, explosive news and information. Research and investigation is zealously undertaken.
The Fourth Week of May
On Saturday the 17th of May, the Sun and Uranus form a conjunction at 27º of Taurus. There could be surprises and sudden twists in the plot. Wilful and impulsive actions can be disruptive, but there could also be an intense desire for freedom and is determined to shake off
constraints.
Venus forms a semi-square to this Sun-Uranus conjunction, so love and friendship undergoes sudden disruption or a liberating awakening.
The New Moon on May 27th brings Saturn already in Aries
Saturn ingresses into Aries on Sunday the 25th of May. Not much to celebrate. One of the outcomes of Saturn’s transit in Aries can bring a challenging period characterized by delays and restrictions, or halts in progress — especially in initiatives that require bold action or rapid momentum.
The assertive, forward-driving energy of Aries clashes with Saturn’s need for structure, discipline, and caution, creating tension that may stall new projects or demand a more methodical, long-term approach to goals.
Mercury enters Gemini on Monday and forms a sextile to the forming Saturn-Neptune conjunction, which speaks of subdued deep and thoughtful conversations.
The next day a New Moon occurs at 6º Gemini conjunct Mercury and trine Pluto. Communication is focused, resolute and purposeful. Analysis is insightful and ideas are communicated with depth, gravitas and thoroughness.
Messenger Mercury is clearly busy this week as it goes on to form a conjunction with the Sun on Friday the 30th of May, indicating important announcements and official authoritative statements. Official letters are dispatched and received.
