The Month of June
The Astrology of June brings some favorable aspects for advancement. The highlight is Jupiter’s ingress into Cancer, his sign of exaltation. This transit encourages a renewed sense of emotional connection, family harmony, and overall optimism.
However, Jupiter also forms his final square with Saturn, now in new signs. This marks the beginning of a fresh phase for our inner lives, one that feels more proactive and hopeful.

The First Week of June
On Thursday the 5th of June Venus forms a sextile aspect to Jupiter, promising friendship, benevolence and joyous social interactions. In fact, around now Uranus is very close to the midpoint of this Venus-Jupiter sextile, which makes it all the more exciting and electric. Mercury and Mars also happen to be forming a sextile this day, so messengers, thieves, merchants and tricksters are plying their trade with skill and efficiency. Clever, cunning and mobile.
On Saturday the 7th of June Mercury is semi-sextile Uranus and speeding towards a conjunction with Jupiter the following day. Advances in science and human knowledge can take place, while righteous and noble agreements are made. True words are spoken. In the coming days Mercury and Jupiter will both be entering the sign of Cancer, touching one of the Cardinal degrees of the tropical zodiac. This suggests that new plans and noble initiatives are launched and important new information becomes public.
The Second Week of June
On Tuesday the 9th of June Venus squares Pluto, implying that personal relationships are undergoing cathartic changes. Also occurring at this time is a conjunction of Mercury and Jupiter that is square a conjunction of Saturn and Neptune.
Good bold ideas have to face up against a spirit of gloom. There are words of truth, hope and inspiration in times of uncertainty and disillusionment. Practical plans can be developed for improvement of disintegrated systems.
The Full Moon on Wednesday occurs at 20º Sagittarius while Mercury and Venus happen to be forming a sextile aspect. This is convivial, cordial and sociable. Love letters and sweet talk.
The Third Week of June
Mars and Uranus form a square on Sunday the 15th, though this square might be brought into sharper focus the following day when the Moon squares Uranus and opposes Mars. This is very volatile live-wire energy. Events happen suddenly and abruptly. There’s high speed activity, impulsiveness and impatience.
Jupiter reaches a square aspect to Saturn this week, the third and final in a series of three Jupiter-Saturn squares going back to August 2024. It implies that there is a major change of gear in the global economic and political landscape. Some big projects and endeavours will surge forward while others may collapse.
On Thursday we have a square between Jupiter and Neptune which describes spiritual devotion and altruism, utopian visions, dreams and ideals. There’s charitable good-will, but also some susceptibility to waste and careless extravagance.
Sun Cancer Ingress
The solstice occurs on the 21st of June marking the Sun’s ingress into Cancer. Soon thereafter the Sun forms a series of potent aspects to Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune.
Jupiter will be square Saturn and Neptune around the very middle of June 2025
This will no doubt be a climactic moment in the year 2025. What happens then, and what is seeded or begins then will have a dramatic effect on the shape, and even the aspirations of society. It marks a fresh idealistic impetus, bogged down most likely in some manner. Perhaps a restorative impulse in the wake of collapsing systems.
June 2025 should be considered a particularly valuable opportunity to find solutions to things that are decaying, establish better principles to guide the way things get done in the world, and embark on a more altruistic and compassionate approach to societal systems. Necessity is the mother of invention.
This ray of hope for the month of June is reinforced by the fact that the Sun is relatively near Jupiter at the time of the Sun’s ingress in Cancer (summer solstice in the Northern hemisphere) and then a few days later, on the 25th of June, there’s a New Moon that occurs also very close to Jupiter.
However, the “yod” configuration at the time of the solstice in June with Mars at the apex forming quincunx aspects to Saturn, Neptune and Pluto might be interpreted as some sort of veiled or sneaky aggressive act.
The Fourth Week of June
Then, on the 25th of June we have the New Moon at 4º of Cancer, occurring very close to Jupiter, signalling an orientation towards wisdom and benevolence and noble plans and projects.
Mercury forms a sextile to Uranus on Thursday the 26th of June, accelerating the pace and tempo of events and bringing novel and unexpected news and information.
There’s quick and innovative thinking and exciting conversation.
Towards the end of the week Mercury enters Leo and soon after forms a trine to Saturn and Neptune in early Aries. This looks like communication of very deep ideas or words of gravity and austerity. Then just before the new week dawns, Mercury forms an opposition to Pluto and spoken and written words become loaded and laden with intensity. Firm and emphatic opinions are expressed.
