The Month of September
September starts with a retrograde Saturn re-entering Pisces on the 1st, and will only return to the first degree of Aries on the 14th of February 2026. On the 20th of February, Saturn and Neptune will make an exact conjunction when we’ll have more developments about this Saturn/Neptune position.
Mars reaches a square to Jupiter on the 5th of September which means “go big or go home”. It’s about bold opportunism and a strong feeling of entitlement. It can cause people to bite off more than they can chew, but this is definitely better than being inert, fearful or apathetic. Go for it!
Mercury forms a square to Uranus on the 3rd of September which suggests there’s an almost frenetic pace or tempo in information being delivered or received. Pace yourself and keep track. There will be unexpected news or messages that cause surprise. On Tuesday the 4th of September Mercury is located at the midpoint of the forming Mars-Jupiter square which in itself makes for bold and forthright words, discussions and messages. Views and opinions are expressed emphatically.
The Second Week of September
The total Lunar Eclipse on the 7th of September occurs just slightly more than one degree from a semi-square to Pluto as well as forming a semi-square to the Uranus-Neptune midpoint.
The fact that this lunar eclipse engages with the three outer planets makes it somewhat mysterious; there could be important global events occurring that are either distorted and obfuscated or they don’t reach the public’s awareness at all. Or, it could be that this eclipse is pointing to a strong spiritual or mystical impulse of some kind.
The Sun and Mercury together form a sextile aspect to Jupiter on Friday the 12th of September, and so scholars and teachers meet and cultivate knowledge together, honest and noble words are spoken, and honorable agreements are made. Friendship and cooperation is supported; there is fraternity and a sharing of knowledge among people.
The Third Week of September
Venus and Mars form a sextile aspect this week which reaches its peak around Tuesday the 16th of September, at 25 degrees Leo and Libra respectively. This looks like gregarious self expression and lively social interactions. Highly interactive group activities. Taking the initiative and sparking up a connection and pleasant banter.
On the 17th of September Mercury is precisely opposite Saturn and there’s some gravitas in communication and very thorough and painstaking analysis. There’s practical thinking and practical plans can be clarified and agreed upon. As the Venus-Mars sextile loosens after the 17th of September both Venus and Mars in turn form quincunx aspects to Saturn in the days that follow. Obligations and duties constrain social connections and there is a need to work rather than play. Loving sacrifices are made for others and hard work saves the day.
On the 18th and 19th of September Mercury forms an opposition to Neptune and a trine to both Uranus and Pluto, creating a “kite” formation. This could indicate some sort of explosive and extraordinary investigation, perhaps of supernatural phenomenon. Very unusual information comes to light.
The partial solar eclipse of 21 September occurs in close opposition to Saturn and Neptune, and this may well turn out to be one of the most important and potent amplifications of the Saturn-Neptune process that plays such a dominant role in the year 2025.
The Fourth Week of September
This is an important week. There’s a solar eclipse on the 21st of September at 29 degrees Virgo, on the eve of the equinox, which occurs the next day. Both of these solar events occur in the face of an opposition with Saturn and Neptune, and it could be that this will be one of the most potent triggers of the longer term Saturn-Neptune conjunction process during 2025.
It is likely to be a test of the resilience of some of the systems and structures that keep society functional. It could bring altruistic projects into sharp focus. There’s some sort of need for selfless work here.
On the 24th of September the Sun will be trine both Uranus and Pluto creating an impressive grand trine picture. It looks revolutionary. There’s a determined and defiant attitude. Sudden radical decisions are made and drastic changes are accelerated.
Sun Libra Ingress
At the time of the Sun’s ingress into Libra on the 22nd of September (autumn equinox in the Northern hemisphere) Mars is square Pluto and also forming a so-called “yod” configuration with the outer planets Uranus and Neptune.
This hints at some sort of forceful and aggressive energy in the quarter that follows, and there may be something veiled about it, so that people don’t know quite who or what is responsible. It hints at strong determination and energy directed towards uncommon or unconventional objectives.
