The Month of July
The idea that 2025 brings significant global changes is reinforced by the fact that there are several slow moving planets entering new signs of the zodiac; the year begins with Pluto in the first degree of Aquarius, Neptune enters Aries at the end of March, Saturn enters Aries in the last week of May, Jupiter enters Cancer in June and Uranus enters Gemini in July.
Around the end of July and early August Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are all forming aspects to each other in the early degrees of their respective signs. In fact around this time Saturn and Neptune are both close to the midpoint of Uranus and Pluto. This looks like radical and probably sudden structural changes. There’s an almost revolutionary quality to this combination; there may be strong social pressures or reactions to circumstances that have eroded the quality of people’s lives.
The First Week of July
Venus forms a conjunction with Uranus on Friday the 4th of July, and hours later enters the sign of Gemini. This speaks of exotic art, fashion and unusual tastes in love and romance. Impulsive and experimental relationships.
Neptune turns retrograde on this same day as Saturn and Neptune reach the closest they’ll get in 2025 to an exact conjunction. This looks like an important turning of the tide’s direction in relation to the major global narratives of the time.
The Full Moon in the Second Week of July
Venus, after having formed a jolting conjunction to Uranus some days ago, now forms a sextile to the Saturn-Neptune conjunction, and then a trine to Pluto.
Friendships and personal relationships may experience some form of constraint or there is a need for self-sacrifice in relationships, and yet there is also the potential here for a profound depth of feeling and kinship.
Deep commitments and seriousness in relationships. Uranus enters Gemini on Monday the 7th of July. This might herald new and novel approaches in Gemini related areas such as language, communication and education in the years ahead.
The Full Moon occurs on Thursday the 10th of July coinciding with a semi-sextile aspect between Venus and Jupiter, as well as a semi-sextile aspect between Mercury and Mars. The Venus-Jupiter combination could speak of luxuries and indulging in social and sensual pleasures, while Mercury semi-sextile Mars is almost deviously cunning and efficient in achieving its ends.
The Third Week of July
Mars forms a sesquiquadrate to Pluto on Thursday the 17th of July which makes for indomitable determination and a capacity for vigorous physical exertion. This is a raw vigorous energy that can achieve a great deal when channeled into hard work and industriousness.
Mercury turns retrograde on Friday the 18th of July and remains retrograde until the 11th of August. During this period keep reviewing ongoing plans and dedicate your attention to unfinished business. There could be delays in matters pertaining to Mercury.
Mercury is retrograde from the 18th of Jul (15º35'Leo) through the 11th of Aug (4º15'Leo).
Mercury and Venus form a sextile aspect on the 18th of July, making for light-hearted conversation and friendly social interactions.
The Fourth Week of July
Congratulations Leos!
The New Moon occurs on Thursday at 2º Leo, very tightly opposite Pluto, and at the same time sextile Uranus and trine the Saturn-Neptune conjunction. This is a very potent and complex astrological pattern that speaks of highly charged interactions in which power is wielded or resisted intensively. Innovative news or technologies could be applied to this end.
Venus forms a square to Mars on Wednesday the 23rd and social interactions are energetic and lively. Passions run high and lovers are boisterous and unruly, either revelling or arguing.
Venus enters Cancer on Thursday the 31st of July heading towards a conjunction to Jupiter, but first she has to honor an appointment with Saturn and Neptune through square aspects on Friday.
Love can be experienced through sacrifice. There’s a stoical acceptance of the real world limitations of romantic ideals and dreams. The coming Venus-Jupiter conjunction should help to revive some hope, faith and joyousness.
Retrograde Mercury arrives at a conjunction with the Sun at 9º of Leo. Official announcements and authoritative statements are made. An intentional and purposeful articulation of ideas, views and opinions. This will be especially significant if you have important planets located around 9º of the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius).
